Dalilah Tamrin 1967-2010
Puan Dalilah Tamrin, or known as Raden Galoh, has passed on this morning at 0851hrs in Hospital Kuala Lumpur. She was 42.
Her passing came just shy two days before her 43rd birthday.
She is widely known in the blogosphere for her journey in battling Breast Cancer, which she initially had for a year in 2004. Just four years later, the cancer relapsed and spread to several parts of her body; neck, lymph nodes, bone and liver. This condition, is known as Metastasis. In other words, she had 4th stage cancer.
I was introduced by Maria Samad (Kak Ton) at the Mee Rebus Tuesday two years ago and she looked cheerful. But several weeks after the first meeting, all regular guests (at MRT) were shocked by the news on the relapse.
Nonetheless she remained positive on her condition, and went for second chemotherapy. That did not put her sickness at ease when the lesion (cancer cells) continue to grow and and she sought another treatment, with something herbal treatment at Putrajaya hospital. That too, did not pan out.
Despite her advanced sickness she still managed to perform her Umrah in Mecca end of last month and arrived home safely last Monday. Her last posting on Facebook was on Wednesday, when she pitied her mother to be awake on her 'toss' at wee hours in the morning.
Her condition took turn for the worse yesterday morning and was rushed to HKL in the evening. And the story went until 0951hrs this morning...
So, all in all, i think she must have been her rezeki to be able to leave to the Holy Land...just before she leave us for good. At such an advanced stage, only few would be able to travel that far and come back safely. Indeed Allah swt has given her strong will and perseverance to be there.
Dalilah holds an MBA from Findlay University, Ohio, and was a corporate trainer, and has written various kinds of corporate training papers and proposals.
Semoga Dalilah dicucuri rahmat keatas rohnya.
Here to the memorial.
